Here’s the thing, folks… if you only knew how bad the energy was before that call, you’d be amazed. In the middle of us heading down a troubling direction, we stopped. Amy asked for an Imago Dialogue. All of my defenses said, “No Way!” But my memory of continued, unparalled success when using Imago Dialogue in moments like these. So we recorded it. (And fought about the recording…) and then we went through this piece like a dance, like a bad day in a Tango Class. And by the end of it, everything had shifted, we relaxed, we had answers and the energy was light and warm between us.
Some people diminish or dismiss the benefits of Imago Dialogue. What I say is listen. Listen as if you were listening to a song, or as if you were looking at a painting, or were learning to dance. It’s a meditation with language. It requires daily practice, for years, to master. When done right, it is an utterly reliable way to transform the mood of any moment.
